Ok, so it looks like gladiator sandals will be resurrecting itself for the Nth time this coming season. It just keeps on coming back and I’m afraid it might be here to stay. So what’s new with our strappy, Roman-inspired, perennial friend?
Well, check out this new 8-strap silhouette from the Spring collection of KORS by Michael Kors:
KORS by Michael Kors Amust Sandals in Black, US$195
KORS by Michael Kors Amuse Sandal in Natural, US$195
KORS by Michael Kors Aubrey Sandals in Natural Vachetta, US$295
KORS by Michael Kors Aubrey Sandal in Black Vachetta, US$295
Of course, the classic horizontal straps will still be dominating the arena, but I get the feeling this 8-strap sandal will sell like hotcakes.
Why? Well, let’s just say that this new cut looks very distinct, it is way sexier to look at, AND it is more flattering on the legs.
What I like most about the KORS Amuse and Aubrey Sandals is its clean silhouette – not too many straps distracting the eyes so you actually see more of the feet.
If you’re not in the mood to spend US$200 to US$300 for pair (that’s how much the KORS Amuse and Aubrey sandals cost respectively), you can purchase a similar looking pair from BC Footwear called the Fiesta Sandal for a steal price of US$56:
BC Footwear Fiesta Sandals in Black, US$59
BC Footwear Fiesta Sandal in Dark Brown, US$56
