Zappos’ 5 Most Expensive Shoes Not So Expensive Anymore

This is a follow-up on The 5 Most Expensive Shoes on Zappos.com Right Now post I did about two months ago, just to check and see how much these shoes cost now.

It’s probably not surprising that majority of these shoes are now on sale, given that they’re last season and Zappos is making way for the new arrivals. But even with the huge discounts, these shoes are still ranking on the first page of the highest-priced items on Zappos, outpricing even the newest of the new shoe styles and those that are in heavy demand this summer season. Also, one of the 5 most expensive shoes refuses to be put on sale, while one mysteriously slashes 1,000 dollars off of its price.

Let’s investigate what’s happened to the shoes:

Giuseppe Zanotti E00232 Zip Cuffed Jeweled Sandals

Previously 5th most expensive shoe; now ranked at #23

These jewel and metal encrusted heels that were once $1,360.00 are now $979.20 (30% off of the original price). Nearly all of the Giuseppe Zanotti items on Zappos are currently on sale in fact, with discounts as much as 55% off of the prices. I think I’ll do a separate post just on this brand – Giuseppe Zanotti has amazing stuff but of course, they become even more amazing when they’re put on sale.

Stuart Weitzman Litemeup Sandals

Previously 4th most expensive shoe; now ranked at #726

These are the shoes that mysteriously slashed $1,000 off of its price that I was talking about. I questioned it then and I still question in now: why were these simple sandals priced at a mind-blowing $1,450?!?

They’re now $450.00 and no, they’re not on sale. It just says $450.00 like they’ve always been at that price. Hmm, was that another pricing mistake Zappos?

DSquared2 S10J011075 54 Boots

Previously 3rd most expensive shoe; now ranked at #1

These boots from DSquared2 that were previously $1,529.00 are still $1,529.00 and are now the most expensive shoes on Zappos right now. Congratulations! I think I have the wrong title for this post.

Giuseppe Zanotti E00155 Studded Heels

Previously 2nd most expensive shoe; now ranked at #28

Like I said, Giuseppe Zanotti stuff are currently on sale at Zappos and the previous $1,595.00 price tag on these jeweled sandals has now been marked down by 40% to $930.20. Still expensive but that considerably brings down its former #2 rank to #28.

D&G Dolce & Gabbana DS2232E1785 Fringe Boots

Previously most expensive shoe; now ranked at #3

Not a huge drop for these former #1 most expensive shoes on Zappos. Of course its current $1,439.00 price tag has got a lot to do with it. If Zappos didn’t knock 20% off the original $1,799.00 price on these boots, it would still be the most expensive shoe on Zappos.

Okay, considering that the least expensive of these shoes is $450.00 – and that price would’ve been higher if it weren’t for that mysterious pricing mistake – I think I really do have the wrong title for this post. Maybe I should say “Zappos’ 5 most expensive shoes are not AS expensive anymore“? Although that would only cover 4 out 5 of these shoes because one of ‘em is still carrying the same price tag.
