Fur in the Summer? Vanessa Hudgens in Koolaburra Aurora Sandals

These sandals seen on Vanessa Hudgens have thrown me for a loop. On one hand I’m thinking “why wear fur when it’s summer?”, but on the other I’m thinking “these … actually look kinda cute”.

Presenting, the Koolaburra Aurora Sandals that V-Hudge was spotted in while trying to hide from the paparazzi last July 8:

Vanessa was also seen wearing these sandals sometime last May but judging from the rest of her outfit, the weather wasn’t any colder then than it was last Thursday:

Sorry for the bad pictures and not being able to see Vanessa’s cute face, but I trust her fan site (where I got the pictures from) that these pictures ARE of Vanessa and nobody else.

They are $148.00 at Singer22.com. They currently don’t have the chestnut color in stock but they do have them in black.

What do you think of the sandals? I reckon the plush merino sheepskin would feel absolutely divine when worn. I would however like to see these sandals not folded down – they probably just look like regular sandal booties and would be easier to wear and get away with in public rather than having the fur part showing.

So here’s the question: would you deem it passable to wear fur in the summer if the material was on thong sandals like on the Kooolaburra Aurora Sandals?
