Fashion blogs and websites are abuzz with the latest Christian Dior Fall 2010 Couture collection and these are the glorious reasons why:

Jaw-dropping nature-inspired clothing confections from the genius mind of Dior creative director John Galliano.

With Galliano’s well-known flair for the dramatic, you know that the accessories are never overlooked. The hair, the make-up and especially the shoes are enough to fall in love with this entire collection and its literal interpretation of its floral theme:

The straps and heels made to look like stems, vines and branches on these shoes are the perfect accessory to the dresses in full bloom Galliano sent down the runway. They’re bright and candy-colored but still very elegant, complementing and not overpowering the Christian Dior Fall 2010 Couture collection.

If these shoes are going to go into production, I’d like to see them with touches of the floral theme that the dresses are practically dripping in. The vine-like designs and the pastel colors are not enough of course – anything from Galliano needs to be extravagant, dramatic and over-the-top.

What do you think of the latest Christian Dior collection and the shoes? I think this has inspired me to look for more shoes that look like they have vines and branches.
