Every once in a while, a crazy, kooky, bizarre runway shoe style makes it to mass production without being altered or toned down. And though they’re usually wear-only-once shoes to the point of being unwearable, it’s uplifting to see that some designers acknowledge the fashion hoi polloi’s need for diversity, inspiration and originality, and are willing to share their creations in their purest form.
Here’s one of those as-is-on-the-runway shoe styles, the Louis Vuitton zebra artifice ankle strap sandal as worn by Emma Roberts to the Louis Vuitton and Glamour Magazine Celebration last Monday night:

Emma Roberts joins Louis Vuitton and Glamour in celebrating the magazine’s May issue at a party held at the rooftop terraceĀ of theĀ Louis Vuitton Rodeo Drive boutique in Beverly Hills, CA on April 25, 2011
And here’s the sandal on the runway of the Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 RTW fashion show:

Unchanged and unaltered to be enjoyed and appreciated as is.
The question is, do you like this sandal as is or should Louis Vuittion have changed it to make it less campy?

The Louis Vuitton zebra artifice ankle strap sandals aren’t sold online but you can call 866 VUITTON for more info.
Louis Vuitton also may have made this runway style publicly available but with a price tag that reads $1,540.00, it’s still strictly a shoe that isn’t for everyone.
