Here’s a fresh pair of Gold Detailed Ankle Strap Wedges (style # 616927) from MARC by Marc Jacobs. It comes with inch thick hidden platforms, suede upper, 4.5 inches worth of covered wedge heels, and striking golden spikes on the vamp and back. On paper, it seems like the perfect shoe – glam, edgy, and chic. However, once you see the actual product, you can’t help but notice how it looks a little awkward…check it out:

What do you think? Love or hate?
It would be nice to say I love it but I honestly don’t. For some reason, there seems to be something “wrong” with it and I think I know just what – it’s the detailing on the vamp. I think the shoes would have looked better without it. With it however, it looks a little coarse and crude. Perhaps if it were just the golden spikes and nothing else, it might have worked.
Would you agree to this “analysis”? Or do you simply think the pair is gorgeous?
