DSQUARED2 has their ice skate shoes. Then why not these skate shoes from Alain Quilici, right? :
Alain Quilici nappa open toe sandal wedges, $1,306.00 (Sold Out)
Alain Quilici leather and fur open toe wedges, $1,261.00 (Sold Out)
We’d like to know if there’s something in Italy’s water because it’s such an amazing coincidence that these two Italy-based luxury brands both designed and released skate like shoes at the same time!
While Dsquared²’s blade-bottomed ice skate shoes look like you can really skate on ice with them (warning: you can’t), Alain Quilici’s skate shoes switch out the wheels for a more stable 1″ platform. Still, that neither makes them any less whimsical nor does it make the 5-inch screw-like heel any less harder to walk on.
In case you’re wondering, Alain Quilici also makes somewhat normal-looking shoes such as these fur-trimmed leather platform booties:
Alain Quilici leather and fur boots, $1,330.00 (Sold Out)
These “normal” shoes aren’t as out there as the skate shoes but the prices on them are still abnormally high for us regular folk.
If you’ve got the thousand plus dollars lying around, you can shop for these shoes and check out more Alain Quilici designs at LuisaViaRoma!
