More Celebs in Summery Shoes (In the Winter, In NYC): Cool or Crazy?

Last month I featured a couple of celebs spotted out in unseasonable shoes. Mariah Carey was seen in Aspen, CO wearing sandals; and Rooney Mara was spotted in open toe pumps and bare legs while out in New York.

Mariah Carey sported these Yves Saint Laurent sandals in chilly Aspen. She tried to warm the look up a bit with a black trench, but I would have preferred to see her in boots and a trendy fur vest here. I mean, it’s Aspen. Rock the chic snow bunny look Mariah!

In this shot ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ star Rooney Mara was spotted out in NYC wearing these open toe Brian Atwood heels with bare legs. I love Rooney’s look here, but think she should have kept it closeted until warmer weather hits.

Other celebs have been seen in summer appropriate sandals in New York even more recently. Emmy Rossum was seen in these Christian Louboutin ‘Summerissima’ sandals outside of ‘Live with Kelly’. While I adore these beautiful heels, I still think celebs should stop rushing the seasons and enjoy winter dressing while it lasts. It’s the season for layering! Why rush it?

Then we also found sightings of Jessica Alba in a pair of Barbara Bui sandals (not yet available on line) from the Spring and Summer 2012 line while out in NYC. While I’m a huge fan of Jessica’s ensemble, I think a pair of black booties would have been a better option here.
