Shailene Woodley: Should She Have Worn Heels to the Golden Globes After-Party?

Not a lot of you may know young actress Shailene Woodley, but she is best known for her role in the latest George Clooney hit, Descendants. In fact, she was among the nominees for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globe Awards, which took places just a few days ago.

While Shailene kept with the dress code when she arrived on the red carpet in her gorgeous dove grey Marchesa gown and Tabitha Simmons heels, she went and did a little bit of the opposite when she attended the Golden Globes after-party.

For the InStyle hosted event, Shailene switched her chiffon frock for an elegant black one sleeved cutout dress. But that’s not what made the headlines; it was the pair she wore on her feet that created such a buzz. Probably super sore from those heels, Shailene capped off her after-party look with black Vibram Five Fingers!

Not exactly sure if she meant to hide those toes underneath her gown or if she simply didn’t care that they would show, but you have to hand it to this girl for being gutsy enough to wear casual Five Fingers to an event that is considered black tie.

A lot of people were quick to judge and say she should have worn heels, while others simply applauded her for not caring. After all, if your feet are in pain, why let it suffer even more? And besides…at least she color coordinated!

But here’s the question for you ladies – should she, given the nature of the occasion, stuck with heels instead of those Five Fingers? And if so, what kind of shoes should she have worn? Strappy sandals? Peep toe pumps?

Here are some styles we think would look wonderful with that black dress of hers, which of these would you pick for her?

1. Luichiny Bunny Hop Platform Sandal, $90 / 2. Ivanka Trump Doublet Halter Back Stone Strappy Sandal, $71.84 (was $140) / 3. Badgley Mischka Lissa Open Toe Pump, $245 / 4. Naughty Monkey Last Look Sandal, $42.48 (was $85)
