Would You Wear the Strappy Suede “Silo” Boot from Chinese Laundry?

Check out this new ultra strappy mid calf boot from Chinese Laundry – the Silo. The Silo is like your usual suede boot except that it comes with a million (ok, we’re exaggerating) horizontal leather straps placed on each side of the shoe. And thanks to the vertical panel left untouched at the center, the overall effect actually looks interesting once you wear it. The same vertical detail also helps keep the wearer from looking like her legs have been cut or shortened by the straps, a common effect that occurs when wearing ultra strappy boots:

So what do you think so far? Would you say the Silo is a sure stunner? Or are you hating all the strappy details?

Aside from the horizontal leather decorations, the Silo also features a genuine suede upper, a thick platform of about 1.25 inches, and a sky high heel of 5.125 inches. There is also a zip opening on the back for easy access. No doubt, it’s a fresh take on the mid-calf boot, but the question is, would you wear a pair if it was handed to you? And if you would, how would you style it?
