Earthy elements like raffia and jute, they’re hot this season; and most especially once summer sets in. Usually, we see them on wedges, espadrilles, and in some cases, on platforms. But what if it’s all over the shoe? Can you handle it? Or perhaps our question should be, how much of it can you handle? For instance, have a look at this jute covered wedge from Sam Edelman – the Katie:
Besides the printed calf hair upper, the Katie also features an equally textured jute covered heel and ankle wrap detail that gives it a rather unconventional though quite fashion-forward appearance – an uncommon take on the wedge, but definitely one that would certainly appeal to a select group of shoe lovers. The Katie also comes in Gold Combi variant:
So basically our question is, with this kind of mixed media and the jute dominating a large chunk of the shoe, would you wear the Sam Edelman Katie? Can you handle that much native treatment?
We say, why not?!
