I can’t say I’m a huge fan of Vanessa Hudgens, but I find the former Disney darling quite a cutie. She’s fascinating to watch, and that’s precisely why the paparazzi love to follow her around.

When it comes to fashion and style, she holds her own, too. She has quite a following. And while she has made more style hits than misses, now and then, the girl slips and does something questionable.

A case in point was when she attended the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show a few days ago.

Vanessa arrived at the event in a black turtleneck body-hugging sweater dress paired with a stunning statement coat in leopard print.

The outfit was almost perfect; she wore sheer black nylons and black over-the-knee socks. But then, she unexpectedly paired them with brown suede knee-high Gerard Darel boots.

What do you think of Vanessa’s look? Is it a hit or a miss? It’s quite an unconventional mix, in my opinion.

I think the coat was enough of a statement. With the brown suede, she looked like she was overdoing it. A black pair would have been more appropriate — something sleek and calf-hugging in smooth leather or suede-like the ones below:

She would have turned her look into a major hit with any of these black boots. Pair them with an all-black outfit, and top it with the cheetah-print coat below from Free People to steal Vanessa’s style.
