Anne Hathaway took some time off from her busy schedule to mingle with her fellow nominees at the 85th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon on Monday, February 4, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Thanks to her performance as Fantine in Les Miserables, she’s been receiving a lot of awards and nominations, which include The Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress (against Amy Adams, Sally Field, Helen Hunt, and Jacki Weaver). The awards ceremony will be held on February 24 at the Dolby Theatre.
Every time the 30-year-old actress steps out to attend different awards nights (especially lately), she makes sure she looks timeless. She’s always sleek and clean, nothing too fancy, but still very elegant. Unlike other nominees who wore intricately detailed dresses (some are even full of colors), Anne chose to wear black from head to toe.
Her black The Row resort 2013 dress with cascading ruffle accent (like a peplum detail) at the back was perfect. Her side-swept pixie hair, Jamie Wolf stud earrings, and Jennifer Meyer bracelets and rings added style to her minimal, sophisticated ensemble. To top it all, she wore a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti spring 2013 sandals, which also show classic elegance in black and gold.

Originally, the Giuseppe Zanotti sandals were made of black suede; however, Anne’s version is custom vegan satin (we know she’s a vegetarian, alright!).
The sandal features a strap across the toe, a gold-tone laminated metal detail at the heel counter, and a ribbon fastening, which Anne chose to tie at the side. Such ribbon tie fastening is popular these days, and I bet we’re going to see more of it in the coming days.
