As if anyone’s looking at the jacket when bombshell-of-the-moment Kate Upton is baring nearly everything in a tiny white bikini bottom on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2013 issue. But someone’s gotta do the job, and this is what we’re here for.
We bet no one was expecting to see the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue cover girl in a down jacket, but then again, no one, not even Kate Upton herself, was expecting that it would be shot in Antarctica!

Kate Upton said that her much talked about second Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover was the hardest shoot she’s done to date. Aside from the usual stresses of a photo shoot, she also had to deal with sub-zero temperatures and a body that threatened to shut down because of the freezing cold.
It might not have been much, but we bet Kate Upton relished every second she had in that white fur-trimmed parka! It’s this “Chilliwack” bomber jacket from Canada Goose that you can find at Amazon:

Canada Goose is a true cold-weather outerwear manufacturer, so you know Kate Upton’s white fur-trimmed parka isn’t just all looks. The jacket was designed with the needs of post-war bush pilots in mind. It’s a jacket built to withstand the harsh winter elements of places like, let’s say, Antarctica!
Thank you, Kate Upton, for doing us the service of testing this jacket in Antarctica. If it kept her from turning blue while wearing nothing else but a bikini bottom, it’s more than good enough for us.
At the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Launch Party held in New York yesterday, Kate was spotted looking quite elegant in a ruby red strapless number by Lanvin. The dress was rather simple, but her one-of-a-kind nude slingback pumps from Valentino were crazy stunning. Besides the unique lattice pattern on the mesh vamp, the pair also comes decorated with a million tiny gold studs all over. It’s a fresh and edgy take on the classic nude.
She wore the same pair to the grand opening of Andrea’s Restaurant at the Wynn in Las Vegas last month.

If the intricate leather work appeals to your aesthetic sensibilities and you can handle walking in 5.5-inch heels, then go ahead and grab a pair at Neiman Marcus.
But just in case they don’t have it in your size, try grabbing the look with the following crystallized cutout pumps from BCBGMaxAzria instead. While these are more dainty and feminine in design compared to the Valentinos, a pair will only set you back a much lower $295.
