What do you think are the hottest shoe trends of 2013?

I think the “neon is the new black” trend in clothes will have much influence in shoe trends as well. As far as I am concerned, I always go with bold choices when it comes down to shoes. You must have statement shoes in bold colors and curious designs. A pair of “out-of-space” shoes will always make a statement no matter what you are wearing. For sure, embroidered details, such as those seen in Balmain and Barbara Bui, as well as iridescence will have a bold presence in spring 2013 trends. We’ve seen this in Rebecca Minkoff and at H&M sneakers. As I already said, clothing trends always burst into shoes, a good example of which would be H&M with iridescent trousers and sneakers. Anyhow, I believe that trends are made to be inspirational, not to be followed strictly.

Who are your favorite shoe designers right now?

Giuseppe Zanotti for sure. There would be names like Salvatore Ferragamo for the fabulous flats, Dsquared, and, of course, my newfound favorite, Charlotte Olympia, with her Belinda platform booties in black. Alexander McQueen has some fabulous pieces of its own, but most of them are runway styled.

Which shoe pair is highest on your current wish list?

There are so many, but probably Christian Louboutin Equestria 160 in taupe. Haha, yes!

What do you think are the hottest shoe trends of 2013?

I really do think architectural knee-length gladiator sandals would be the buzz for 2013 (I know I want one).

Who are your favorite shoe designers right now?

Jeffery Campbell, Celine, and Alexander Wang.

Which shoe pair is highest on your current wish list?

Kanye West by Giuseppe Zanotti (“Cruel” Leaves leather sandals) — I would kill to get my toes in those!

What do you think are the hottest shoe trends of 2013?

I think that unusual shapes and exaggerated elements are creeping more and more into the norm when it comes to shoe design. Shoes that we never thought we’d wear in our daily lives five years ago are now in our closets, right next to our sneakers. I see extreme creepers staying strong, photo-printed bold shoes everywhere, and heels with strange structural elements being on-trend in 2013.

Who are your favorite shoe designers right now?

Personally, I like to wear shoes that are classic and timeless with an edge, so designers like Rachel Comey, Farylrobin, and Esska are always good go-to’s for me. I dream about Finsk and Miistas, too, though. And, hey! What girl wouldn’t love to throw on a pair of those out-of-this-world Andreia Chaves “Naked” shoes?!

Which shoe pair is highest on your current wish list?

I just cannot take my eyes off the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label platforms in tartan. I want the challenge of styling with everyday wear. A girl can dream!

What do you think are the hottest shoe trends of 2013?

I guess the transparent clear looks, prints, and patterns are going to be hot in 2013. I’m sure the pointed-toe shoes and ankle boots will continue to pound us.

Who are your favorite shoe designers right now?

In terms of “names,” I love Jeffery Campbell, Zara, and Steve Madden, but I also love getting great finds at stores that are not branded.

Which shoe pair is highest on your current wish list?

I adore the unexpected mind in shoe designs, cuts, and materials, which leads me to crave for the Alexander McQueen ivory booties with the incredibly intricate laser-cut overlay.
