The 2013 BET Awards took place on Sunday in Los Angeles. We spotted a lot of interesting heels and pumps, some of which we were surprised to see on the red carpet!
Check them out below, and share your thoughts with us. Who do you think had the best shoes?
1. Brandy in Privileged “Kempton” Booties
Brandy Norwood, who was one of the presenters of the night, looked striking in a nude embroidered Michael Cinco dress featuring pearl accents and a peplum detail. While fashion critics did not like her gown, her eye-catching booties were a winner.
They are made of synthetic leather and feature corset-like lacing on the outer sides and on the vamps. Besides the lace design and the 1.5-inch-high platforms, the silver spiked studs that run along the 6 inch heels are attention-grabbing.

2. Eve in Sergio Rossi “Antiope” Sandals
Salmon and blue colors do complement each other. It was what Eve showed us when she took to the red carpet in her salmon-colored body-con dress and strappy blue heels. Do you like this color pairing? If goddesses existed in this modern day, they would surely be wearing Eve’s sandals. Their caged, strappy design has a Grecian feel, and the mix of blue and gold is exciting as well.
Although she lost the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award to Nicki Minaj , her amazing heels carried her well throughout the night.

3. Laila Ali in Jimmy Choo “Besso” Sandals
Laila Ali showed off her toned curves in a black body-hugging dress. It’s just a simple dress, and pairing it with the right shoes and accessories can make it look elegant. See how Laila did it. She went for a sophisticated color combination by wearing black-and-gold heels and gold-tone accessories.
Her Art Deco Jimmy Choo sandals are called “Besso,” which feature contrasting black grained leather and gold-tone mirror metallic straps. They have high-cut vamps that are connected to the ankle straps, creating a modern geometric effect.

4. Porscha Coleman in Make Me Chic Dior-01 Sandals
Porscha Coleman flaunted her curves in a fitted long-sleeved dress with revealing mesh inserts. Her heels got us hooked, too.
Her shoes are crafted only from man-made material in black, and they feature ankle cuffs with triple buckled straps. The cuffs, 2 inch platforms, and 6.25 inch silver spiked heels make them edgy and very modern.

5. Erica Hubbard in Christian Louboutin “Lady Spiked” Pumps
‘Let’s Stay Together’ star Erica Hubbard showed up at the event in a shimmery ensemble. She was wearing a very modern-looking dress embellished with gold and silver studs! Complementing her outfit were studded pumps by Christian Louboutin.
While we usually see leopard-print pumps with spiked heels, Erica’s pumps are quite different — the metallic spiked studs are on the blue suede uppers, while leopard-print dyed calf hair covers the 5.75 inch heels and 1.25 inch platforms. Interesting, right? Peep toes with metallic leather trims as well as the signature red soles finish these fierce pumps.

6. Amber Rose in Versace Strappy Sandals
Amber Rose was clearly a stunner in head-to-toe Versace — a bright yellow dress paired with black sandals.
The strap design of these leather sandals is edgy and unique. They have double straps across the toes and triple asymmetrical straps woven through the straps at the sides. Moreover, they feature bronze-tone platforms and stiletto heels measuring about 0.5 and 5.3 inches, respectively.

The shoes are pretty and interesting with an intricate laser-cut design and nude inserts. They have 2-inch-high platforms and about 7 inch towering heels.
