Yesterday, a million (or more) girls probably cried over the news that One Direction’s Zayne Malik is officially off the market (well, almost). The boy-band member proposed to his year-long girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, over the weekend. Yes, the Perrie Edwards of the girl group Little Mix.
Honestly, we are a little surprised by this news. No one expected the singing lovebirds to actually consider marriage at such an early age. Both are at the height of their careers, and both are still quite young. But then again, who are we to say it’s too soon?
Now, speaking of Perrie, the blond cutie debuted her engagement ring at the premiere of One Direction: This Is Us in London the other day. It was reportedly purchased by Zayne from Tiffany & Co. She wore it with a sheer black gown that features a layered tulle skirt and a see-through back detail.

Capping off Perrie’s style was a pair of classic no-nonsense t-strap sandals in two tones — black and nude. Below are some zoomed-up shots of her shoes. They look lovely, we agree. However, they looked like they were two sizes too big for the singer, and we were honestly expecting a much dressier style — heels with more appeal and drama that would have been more appropriate for the occasion (and the frock!).
Nonetheless, a peek at her shoes piqued our curiosity. They weren’t dazzling, but we could tell they were very versatile — just the kind you can wear to practically anywhere.

Do you like the shoes?
They’re nothing special, but we get the feeling that Perrie will get a lot of mileage out of them. They’re practical and very wearable. You can even mix them with jeans!
Any idea where she purchased the pair?
While we do a little more digging, allow us to leave you with a couple of two-tone sandals in case you’re crushing on Perrie’s black-and-nude heels.

Vince Camuto Novasi Sandals, $83 (before: $118)
And if some va-va-voom sandals are what you need, here’s a pair from Steve Madden that will certainly knock your socks off. They’re studded to perfection on the back.
On a side note, do you think Zayne and Perrie made the right decision to get engaged?
