We have not seen Eva Mendes in quite a while now. If you’re wondering what’s keeping her busy, it’s most probably her new clothing line with New York & Company, which she just launched in NYC on Wednesday night.
We all know how much Eva loves retro clothing, and it’s not a surprise that her new fashion line includes plenty of vintage-inspired pieces. For the launch, she donned a monochrome outfit from her own line. The American actress, model, singer and designer looked classy in a white blouse paired with a fitted Jacquard pencil skirt. Eva accessorized with a statement necklace from her collection and finished the look with a pair of black pumps by Saint Laurent.

It looks like Eva Mendes prefers black heels these days. We spotted her wearing another pair just a day after she launched her fashion collection. She attended the 2013 Vanidades Icons of Style Awards at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City on September 19 in a Luis Estévez black strapless dress, which features a fringe overlay from the halter neckline.

Her pointy-toe black patent leather pumps look a lot similar to what she wore the day before. Yet these pumps do not feature a peaked back and the color of the soles is also different. Eva actually wore a pair of “Emma” pumps by Jean-Michel Cazabat.
