Congrats to Lauren Conrad!
The former reality TV star just announced that she is engaged to her long-time boyfriend, William Tell. Yes, the name sounds familiar. But that’s probably because of two things — William is a former guitarist of the piano band Something Corporate (currently he is taking up law at USC), and William Tell also happens to be the name of the 15th century folk hero we read about in books when we were kids.
Now, speaking of Lauren, we recently spotted the blonde cutie arriving at LAX. She was dressed in a casual attire, but we love how she color coordinated so perfectly by pairing her cozy camel sweater with ankle booties in the same buttery hue. Combining blue skinny jeans and silky blonde hair, she painted quite a picture — one that was simple yet elegantly chic.

What do you think of Lauren’s plane-ride style? Are you a fan? Don’t you love how comfy and effortless she looks?
Anyone can wear (and put together) such a combination, but the trick lies in how to look polished (a la Lauren). As they say, the devil is in the details. In Lauren’s case, aside from styling the ensemble with painted nails, sleek hair, and pretty baubles, she made sure to pick out a really decent sweater and boots that look more neat than rugged.
If you’re wondering about Lauren’s boots, those are actually from her very own fashion line — LC Lauren Conrad. They feature 3.5-inch-tall stacked heels, padded footbeds for comfort, belted boot shafts, and zipper closures on the back. What we really like about them is that they look refined and expensive but only cost $60!

If you want a pair, just head over to Kohl’s. They also come in black and dark brown. Sadly, they aren’t made of genuine leather, but for the price, you shouldn’t expect such quality. Besides, they’re quite versatile, so the $80 you’ll spend will go a long way.
For those of you with a bit more budget, you can easily upgrade the boots to high-street designer choices, such as the ones below. To steal Lauren’s look, simply pair them with blue skinny jeans and a cozy cashmere sweater.

Lastly, we’re ending this post with a pic of Lauren’s beautiful engagement ring — a solitaire diamond that speaks volumes even with its immense simplicity:
