When they picked Henry Cavill as the new Superman, I thought, “wow, he’s really perfect for the job.” When they chose Ben Affleck as the new Batman, I went, “hmmm, maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt.”
But when I heard about Gal Gadot bagging the role of Wonder Woman today, I was simply stunned — okay, more like surprised because the Fast & Furious actress (yes, she was in three of the six installments) isn’t exactly what you’d call seasoned enough for such an iconic role — the key word being iconic. Seriously, people, do you think she deserves it?
I know, you’re probably even wondering who she is, aren’t you?
Well, Gal played the role of Gisele Harabo in “Fast & Furious”, “Fast Five”, and “Fast & Furious 6”. There were a couple of other more recognizable ladies in the Fast & Furious roster (Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano), so let’s just say she was the fifth “main” girl (I’m not sure if I’m even wording that right) — the one you probably overlooked.
Other than this recurring movie gig, Gal also had small parts in “Knight and Day” and “Date Night“. On top of that, she is also a former beauty queen. Yes, she was crowned Miss Israel back in 2004 and even competed in the Miss Universe pageant in the same year.

Few acting credentials aside, I do have to hand it to the young woman because she is a natural beauty. And although she may be a little too slender (and flat-chested) to fill Wonder Woman’s shoes, I have no doubt that she will look hot in the two-piece heroine suit.
As for her red carpet style, I can’t say it’s impeccable, but I’d say it’s quite elegant. The girl’s got taste, that much I can say. She was last seen at the Riddick premiere back in August. For the event, Gal rocked a cropped leather top paired with a printed knee-length skirt. Gal styled her hair into a braid and jazzed up the outfit with lots of arm baubles. Classic and simple strappy mid-heel sandals were her finishing touches.

Do you like her look? What about her choice of footwear? Do you think she should have chosen a sexier pair? Or perhaps a more elaborate or adventurous set?
