Melissa McCarthy attended Variety’s Creative Impact Awards and 10 Directors to Watch Brunch during the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 5.
Presented by Mercedes-Benz, the event took place at The Parker Palm Springs, where the Bridesmaids actress stood out in a floral-patterned wrap dress that you can purchase at ASOS for $34.48. It was very flattering on her, and she was definitely blooming in this number. We’d probably ditch the black-and-orange snakeskin clutch, though, as it seemed out of place. A simple black or white clutch would have been perfect since her dress is already busy enough.

As for Melissa’s strappy shoes, well, they surely added edge to her look. Unfortunately, they did not do her any more favors other than that. We think she should have worn a pair of leg-lengthening platform pumps instead. Seeing her looking happy and comfortable with what she was wearing, though, seems to make up for it. That’s more important, yes?
Her Jimmy Choo “Hammer” sandals are actually very edgy, indeed. They are made of soft suede and have lace-up front that guarantees proper fitting. Another feature that we love in these sandals are the 4.7 inch stacked heels, which come in black-and-white horizontal stripes. Completing these sandals are the 0.8 inch platforms and the zip fastening at the back.
