Oh, to be Willow Smith. She’s rich, she’s famous, and she’s Hollywood royalty. So, when Karl Lagerfeld photographed her for a fashion spread in V magazine, not only did she have the audacity to wear clothes she brought along from her own closet, but she also had the power to get away with it.
The clothes and shoes she brought along with her? Boxer shorts with ’90s-style big brand name prints, slouchy men’s-cut jeans, and Valentino patent leather oxfords. Weird and experimental? Yes, but remember, she’s only 13. Nevermind being photographed by Chanel’s famous designer for an international fashion magazine; what we wish we also had is this much freedom to experiment and explore our own personal style when we were that age. Willow Smith, can we have your life?
A Willow Smith Instagram fan page, willowsmithfan, shared pics from the photo shoot, which you can check out below.
Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel — these are just some of the labels Willow Smith has access to at her young age. Couple that with her creativity, boldness, and a very individualistic fashion sense, and she’s no doubt at the top of the list of future trendsetters to watch out for. Check out some of her red carpet and Fashion Week looks below. Even when she’s wearing more “mainstream” shoe labels like Christian Louboutin, she still goes for the wild and quirky style.
