Effie Gray actress Dakota Fanning and her sister, Elle Fanning, share the same blonde hair, blue eyes, and alabaster skin… as well as the same eccentric fashion taste.
Case in point: Dakota’s New York Fashion Week ensemble in February 2014. The Fanning sister wore an open-knit cardigan and a light pink dress to the Rodarte presentation.

Based on the true story of Euphemia “Effie” Gray, who was the teenage wife of the art critic John Ruskin, Dakota Fanning was 20 years old when Effie Gray was released worldwide by Universal Pictures in the United Kingdom on October 10, 2014.
English actor Matthew Gregory Wise, who portrayed Victorian art critic John Ruskin, was 48 years old when Effie Gray was released. There’s a 28 years age difference between Dakota Fanning and him.
John Ruskin married Euphemia “Effie” Gray in 1848, but their marriage was annulled six years later, in 1854, on the grounds of non-consummation.

Elle Fanning, the younger sister of Dakota Fanning, was originally slated to play Sophie Gray in the film but was replaced by Polly Dartford due to her height difference. Elle grew four inches taller than her older sister.
The low neckline flaunted major cleavage at the Rodarte presentation during New York Fashion Week. Even more interesting than the dress was Dakota’s choice of footwear. She strolled into Fashion Week wearing mismatched black-and-white round-toe pumps.

OK, so the pumps weren’t exactly mismatched. The color of these shoes is contrasting, so while the shoes are the same style, the platforms, trip, and top colors all oppose each other.
While the shoes are interesting and the dress is interesting, neither goes together.
