This year’s Tribeca Film Festival churned out a number of fantastic films and some pretty interesting sartorial choices from Hollywood stars. We’ve already seen Olivia Palermo’s striking monochromatic look, Dree Hemingway’s gravity-defying heels, and the contrasting styles of Katie Holmes and Emma Watson at the Boulevard premiere.
Here are a few more looks that caused quite a stir at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival:
1. Maggie Grace in Yellow Pointy-Toe Pumps
Maggie Grace was a vision of understated elegance at the premiere of About Alex. She looked incredibly polished and sophisticated in a Resort 2014 look from Kaufmanfranco that consisted of a beautiful white coat over a white dress. Her hair was styled in a chic updo, and she added gorgeous pops of color to her ensemble with a thin yellow belt and a pair of canary yellow pumps.

2. Anna Camp in Coral Patent Leather Pumps
Anna Camp looked lovely in a fun and flirty white eyelet frock from Self-Portrait, which features a crisp collar, sheer panels, a flared hem, and an A-line silhouette. The Pitch Perfect star styled it with a white-and-gold embellished clutch from Edie Parker and a chic ponytail that showed off her flawless makeup and stunning earrings from Melinda Maria. She added a colorful punch to her ensemble with a pair of coral pumps.

3. Mindy Kaling in Saint Laurent
Mindy Kaling stepped out on the red carpet in a sexy all-black ensemble at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. The 34-year-old actress attended the screening of Alex of Venice to support the directorial debut of her friend and The Mindy Project co-star Chris Messina.
She was the epitome of downtown New York chic in an outfit courtesy of Helmut Lang, which consisted of a tailored smoking wool blazer over a twist-neck semi-sheer voile top and smoking cropped wool pants. Mindy finished off her look with smoky eyes and a pair of black patent leather pumps from Saint Laurent.

Mindy wore the “Janis” pumps from Saint Laurent, which feature glossy black patent leather, covered platforms, pointy toes, and self-covered heels. These shoes are also available in red calfskin leather, studded black leather, and in several other styles at Neiman Marcus, Barneys, and Farfetch.
4. Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Christian Louboutin (also featured here)
Joining Mindy Kaling and director Chris Messina at the Alex of Venice premiere is the stunning Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who brightened up the red carpet in a tangerine knit dress from Vionnet’s spring 2014 collection. She infused her look with a bit of glam with a gold cuff and a studded clutch from Gucci. Cascading waves and a pair of black-and-gold slingback pumps from Christian Louboutin provided the finishing touches.

The 29-year-old actress wore the “Calamijane” slingback pumps from Christian Louboutin, which feature pointy toes, curved vamps, stiletto heels, black leather, gold-tone perforated toe caps, and the brand’s signature red leather soles.
5. Gillian Jacobs in Stuart Weitzman
Gillian Jacobs was a breath of fresh air at the premiere of Life Partners at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The 31-year-old actress proudly displayed her love for bold designs in a strapless dress from Tanya Taylor’s spring 2014 collection, which features beaded embellishments and an asymmetrical hem. She styled it with soft curls, pink lips, and a navy clutch from Rodo. Gillian finished off her look with the same pair of “Nudist” sandals from Stuart Weitzman that she wore at the Community presentation during PaleyFest 2014.

6. Leighton Meester in Emporio Armani (also featured here)
Joining Gillian Jacobs at the premiere of Life Partners was Leighton Meester, who looked radiant in head-to-toe Emporio Armani. The 28-year-old stunner wore a sleeveless metallic shift dress, which features a fold-over detail and two gorgeous shades of blue. A low ponytail, a gray satin clutch, jewels from Jacob & Co., and a pair of double-strap sandals provided the finishing touches to this simple yet sophisticated look.

7. Berenice Marlohe in Christian Louboutin
Berenice Marlohe channeled her inner Grecian goddess at the premiere of 5 to 7 during the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. She turned heads in a floor-length white gown from Sass & Bide’s spring 2014 collection, which features gold embellishments and intricate embroidery at the bodice as well as a flirty front slit.

The French actress wore the “Martha” sandals in gold from Christian Louboutin, which feature mesh panels, self-covered stiletto heels, a sexy t-strap silhouette, and the brand’s signature red leather soles. These shoes have been featured in the label’s highly artistic spring/summer 2014 advertising campaign. You can purchase the Martha sandals in white at Saks Fifth Avenue:

8. America Ferrera in Kurt Geiger (also featured here)
America Ferrera perked up the red carpet at the premiere of X/Y during the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. She wore a navy-and-white frock from Roland Mouret, which highlighted her voluptuous figure. Her hair was swept back in a chic updo, and she added splashes of color to her ensemble with bold red lips, an orange clutch from Rodo, and a pair of tricolor “Blank” sandals from Kurt Geiger.

9. Katie Holmes in Maroon Pointy-Toe Pumps
After appearing too casual and disheveled at the screening of Boulevard, Katie Holmes attempted to glam it up at the world premiere of Miss Meadows. She wore a beautiful satin off-the-shoulder dress from Zac Posen’s fall 2014 collection, which features a boned bodice, a striking structural detail at the waist, and a gorgeous maroon shade. Katie styled it with a Cartier bracelet and a fabulous pair of maroon pointy-toe pumps.
While the 35-year-old actress looked beautiful, she unfortunately lacked the necessary attitude and sensuality to pull off this look. Her lackluster hair and makeup didn’t do her any favors at all, and she could have done better to make an unforgettable entrance at this year’s 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
