The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Porsche celebrated the 20th anniversary of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer along with Maria Sharapova at the New Museum in New York City on Wednesday night. The world No. 6 was chosen to be the latest ambassador of the charitable event, which aims to raise money for various breast cancer organizations.
Maria Sharapova is known for being fierce and aggressive on the court. But aside from being a competitive pro in tennis, she’s also a winner when it comes to styling. Just like Serena Williams, who just proved her style credentials during an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman, the 27-year-old Russian tennis player also showed her undeniable knack for fashion at the charity event. They’ve been long rivals on the court, but these two share the same love for fashion.

Maria Sharapova wore a summery Marc Jacobs dress in white with silver trims, intricate lace embroidery, and a cutout design. The length was unusual for the Porsche ambassador, who’s usually seen flaunting her pins. She looked great in it, though. Her hair and makeup were simple and flawless as well.
Completing the white look were her Aquazzura sandals that feature thin bands across the toes, double buckled ankle straps, and lace-ups at the back. The heels made the 6”2’ tennis professional 4.25 inches taller.
