Kim Kardashian Supports President Obama in Midterm Elections

Fans were confused when Kim Kardashian tweeted on Monday night that she was “standing w Obama in the midterm election.”

Since President Obama is not on the midterm ballot, the Twitter world reacting by calling the reality star an “airhead” and worse.

The 34-year-old television personality isn’t a stranger to democratic politics and supported spiritual guru Marianne Williamson in the 2014 primaries to replace retiring Rep. Henry Waxman in California’s 33rd Congressional District.

While Kim Kardashian did not respond to the ridicule generated on Twitter and Instagram, she later posted an image to prove that she’d been to the polling booth. In the picture, she can be seen pointing to an “I Voted” sticker.

“Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians — when they watch that stuff — he doesn’t like that as much,” Michelle Obama said in a 2011 interview about the Kardashian clan’s popular E! show. The president clearly doesn’t want his daughters to watch their show.

“I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it, and I’m more concerned with how they take it in — what did you learn when you watched that,” she said about her own opinion. “And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I’m like, OK.”
