Filmed on the Hawaiian islands of Kauai and Oahu, most of the nature scenes of the 2015 American science fiction adventure film were shot at Jurassic Kahili Ranch, a historic 2,500-acre property on the North Shore of Kauai, and at the 4000-acre private nature reserve Kualoa Ranch in Oahu.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, a 2013 American fantasy adventure film directed by Thor Freudenthal, was also filmed at the former park located in New Orleans East off Interstate 10.

The petting zoo scenes were filmed at Honolulu Zoo on Oahu and at Audubon Zoo in Uptown New Orlean’s historic Audubon Park.
The scenes from the Samsung Innovation Center were filmed at Big Easy Studios at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Center in eastern New Orleans. Portions of Ender’s Game (2013), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) were filmed at the same studios.
