While other thirsty celebrities are desperate for a place on Taylor Swift’s girl squad, there’s one bad gal who says she won’t be joining: Rihanna. The “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer said in an interview with NME Magazine that she wouldn’t appear with Taylor on stage if she was asked.
“I just don’t think it makes sense,” she explained. Further citing her reasons, she said, “I don’t think our brands are the same; I don’t think they match. I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind, she’s a role model, I’m not.”
Us here are Your Next Shoes couldn’t agree more. Just in their shoe choices that we’ve chronicled, Taylor’s penchant for pretty-girl oxfords and sparkly heels already clashes with RiRi’s taste for dangerous stilettos and sick kicks.
You can also see the disparity between them in the way Rih dropped her newest sneaker collab with Puma called The Creeper. The shoe is in a simple retro sporty style, but trust Rihanna to inject sexy, punk, and cool elements into it! Check her out making sporty shoes, a backwards cap, a trainer jacket, and a sports bra look so damn sexy:
We first spotted Rihanna wearing her Puma Creepers while out shopping with BFF Melissa Forde in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood back in May. We previously thought then that the sneakers were especially custom-made just for Rihanna. Thankfully, the good sis decided to make it her sneaker collab with Puma and share it with the rest of the world.
