Selena Gomez hit the colorful carpet at the 2016 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in New York City.

The 23-year-old actress and entertainer donned a feminine polka-dot number from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2016 collection featuring a bondage-esque leather bustier. She styled the studded, sleek white dress with a clutch and black combat boots from the same French fashion house.

While we agree that the chunky black patent boots lent her outfit some edge, they ended up looking rather bizarre with her girly Louis Vuitton dress. We would have preferred a pair of heels instead. How about you?
