Olivia Palermo is definitely one of those women who take ridiculously good care of her belongings, especially those that are found in her precious closet.

When Veuve Clicquot gave out the invite for the annual Polo Classic, we imagine she wasn’t too thrilled to take her beloved footwear out for some traditional divot stomping.

Olivia Palermo was spotted with her husband, Johannes Huebl, at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in *gasp* worn-out French Sole ballet flats.

Olivia also wore a handkerchief-print dress by Chelsea28, which, in proper Palermo form, she belted with a studded piece by Paige.

The model-slash-entrepreneur dressed up her look with a pair of sunglasses by Le Specs and ballet flats from one of her favorite flats brands, French Sole.

The British footwear brand French Sole was founded by Jane Winkworth in 1989. Now best known as The Queen of Ballet Flats, she began selling shoes from a small store in London’s West End, which was named French Sole after a French fish dish loved by her husband.

French Sole is known for its classic, elegant and timeless designs, particularly its comfortable and durable ballet flats made from high-quality leather. Another celebrity fan of the comfortable shoe brand is Nicky Hilton, who even designed her own shoe collection for French Sole.

OK, so her ballet flats may not have been that worn out, but for someone of Olivia Palermo’s standards, the frayed edges on the bows surprised us.

Nonetheless, she and her husband Johannes were serious stylish couple goals the second they walked into the event.

Where are French sole shoes made?

French Sole barely distributes to consigners and has remained a family business since it opened, which is probably one of the reasons why Olivia is charmed by the brand. Most French Sole shoes are made in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and Brazil.
