Elle Fanning may be totally comfortable in front of the cameras but in front of a live audience? That’s a different story.

The Maleficent actress seemed surprisingly nervous during her speech during Variety’s “Power of Young Hollywood” in Los Angeles.

The younger Fanning sibling, who landed on Variety’s cover for the month, showed up in an eclectic Madonna-inspired dress from the Marc Jacobs Resort 2017 collection.

“I thought it’s [a bit] like Madonna, and it’s her birthday today. It’s Eighties Material Girl. That was the inspiration,” Fanning told WWD about Madonna, who celebrated her 58th birthday on August 16, 2016.

The ankle-length chiffon dress featured black spaghetti straps, a sheer corset-like top worn over a strapless purple bra, chain embellishments, and all-over appliqués and pins.

The star of “The Neon Demon” finished her look with a pair of Marc Jacobs satin pumps and jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Elle was notably nervous as she delivered her speech, looking down most of the time and struggling to get her words out.

The actress talked about her Variety cover and thanked the publication for donating to “Real Girl,” a charity that empowers young women worldwide.

The Marc Jacobs pumps are not available online, but you can check out the similarly classic “Anouk” pump from Jimmy Choo on Farfetch and Mytheresa.
