January Jones was born on March 5, 1978, which means she was 25 years old when the 2003 Christmas romantic comedy film Love Actually was released in the United States on November 14, 2003.

Jones played Jeannie in the film, an American exchange student attracted to Kris Marshall’s character, Colin Frissal.

The film was a commercial success, and Jones went on to star in several other successful films and television shows, including Mad Men and The Last Man on Earth.

Among the five “American dream girls” featured in the movie, only three were born in the United States. Ivana Milicevic, originally from Bosnia, later moved to the U.S., while Elisha Cuthbert hails from Canada.

Elisha Cuthbert was 20 years old, Kris Marshall was 30, and Ivana Miličević was 29 when “Love Actually,” a Christmas romantic comedy film, was released in the United States on November 14, 2003.

In an interview with BBC’s The One Show in January 2023, actor Kris Marshall addressed the widespread rumor that he returned part of his pay for a specific scene in Love Actually.

He clarified that while it is a wonderful story, it is not true. Marshall debunked the notion that he returned his paycheck for the scene where the three American girls undress him, expressing that he had a great time filming it and would have been willing to do it for free.

“There are loads of stories about this film, and we need you to confirm or deny a story that’s been floating around for years and years, which is, you gave some of your wages back because you were having such a great time?” host Alex Jones asked.

“It’s a wonderful story, isn’t it? But it’s sadly not quite true,” Kris Marshall admitted. “I don’t really want to say that because I love the story so much.”

He emphasized that there is no need to choose between two good things and that it is possible to enjoy both.

January Jones Channels Her Inner ’90s Girl on the Red Carpet

January Jones is usually rocking an outfit that looks like she stepped straight out of the ’70s, thanks to her character Emma Frost on X-Men: First Class.

But when she’s not in character? It looks like the actress much prefers other decades.

In August 2016, the then-38-year-old was spotted on the red carpet of the Fox TCA press tour in Los Angeles in a look that has the ’90s written all over it — and she even admitted it herself.

The actress wore black flared jeans that cut off at the ankle with Zimmermann’s “Karmic” track bomber jacket in an interesting pattern called “Bird Chintz.”

January gave her nostalgic look with a tousled blonde bob a modern touch.

She finished her look with a pair of gold glitter “Bond” pumps from Kurt Geiger.

January even called herself out on the theme for her Fox TCA summer press tour look. She uploaded a selfie to her Instagram with the caption, “The 90’s called me and I picked up.”

From the gorgeous Zimmermann jacket to that muted lipstick color, we’re quite glad you did, January.
