Julianne Hough has access to the most elite footwear designers across the globe, which comes in handy for red carpet strolls at major events — like the Emmys. She was joined by her father, politician Bruce Hough, who’s a Gonzaga University alumni living in Salt Lake City.

The 28-year-old American dancer, singer, and actress could have picked out any high-end footwear designer she wanted for the 2016 Emmy Awards but surprised everyone by going for a pair that cost less than $100 instead.

Julianne scrapped all Hollywood go-to brands such as Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin in favor of a pair of Aldo shoes at the 68th annual event in Los Angeles.

Jules wore a gorgeous soft red gown by Armani, which was a one-shoulder dress that overlapped at the front to create a side slit. The dancer-turned-actress styled her look with jewelry from Simon G. and a rectangular Calvin Klein clutch.
We’re not sure if the Aldo ‘Elivia’ double strap patent heels that Jules wore was her idea, but it was definitely working for the look.

She was joined on the red carpet by her father, Bruce Hough, who was previously chairman of the Utah Republican Party. In addition to Derek and Julianne, icons of the popular TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” he has eight more children!
The former Republican politician is the founder or co-founder of three very different businesses in advertising, satellite communications, and consumer products. He graduated from Gonzaga University in May 2018. Julianne congratulated her impressive father on Instagram.

Julianne decided to make the Emmys a family affair by bringing her father, Bruce Hough, onto the red carpet with her. Her dad was visiting for the weekend so what better way to create memories than to attend the Emmys together, right? Julianne’s brother, co-dancer Derek, was also in attendance.
