Founded in 2006 by Taiwanese-American entrepreneur Stephen Chi, Stella Luna is a luxury footwear brand distinguished by its high-quality craftsmanship and the use of premium Italian leather.

Designed with the modern woman in mind, Stella Luna’s shoes strike a perfect balance between style and comfort, making them a preferred choice for those who value both elegance and practicality in their footwear.

Celebrity Endorsements

Celebrities who have worn Stella Luna shoes include Jennifer Lawrence, Lea Michele, Jaimie Alexander, Heidi Klum, Katy Perry, Kristen Wiig, Halle Berry, Anna Kendrick, Gigi Hadid, Nicole Kidman, and Nina Dobrev.

There is no known relation between Ellen Pompeo’s daughter, Stella Luna, and the luxury shoe brand Stella Luna. The similarity in names appears to be a coincidence.

Brand Vision and Leadership

“We want to be an international brand,” Chi said in an interview. “We want to build a global platform and bring affordable luxury for women around the world.”

Now under the creative direction of Capucine Safyurtlu, the footwear label creates high-end footwear according to the highest standards of European design.

Parent Company and Manufacturing

Stella Luna is owned by Stella, a shoemaker established in Taiwan in 1982. The company has been making shoes for luxury brands such as LVMH’s Givenchy, Prada SpA, Clarks, ECCO, Rockport and Timberland.

While their shoes are manufactured in China, Stella Luna’s design and leather teams are located in Riviera del Brenta, in the Northeastern corner of Italy. “Two clear elements set us aside from other shoe brands,” Stephen told The CEO Magazine.

“One is the modern attitude and the other is the unique international mix we rely on to transform that outlook into our final designs. We have our Paris design team offices, as well as an incredible Italian team overseeing all our leather sourcing. Add to that the world’s most advanced shoe manufacturing capabilities in China and you end up with a process that we have absolute creative control of, from start to finish, ensuring a type of excellence that few other brands can equal.”

The American actress wore a long, shawl-collar coat by Alice + Olivia to embrace the chill of early winter. She layered the chic piece of outerwear over a white long-sleeved shirt and a pair of DL1961 skinny leather pants.

The mom-of-two kept her jewelry to a minimum, styling the look with only a pair of hoop earrings. She slung a black Pop & Suki purse over her shoulder and completed her outfit with brown suede booties.
