Called the ugliest shoes of all time by Embry Roberts of Today, Gucci’s ‘Ilse’ patent leather sandals raised some eyebrows when we featured them earlier this year. Now we’ve got some more details for you.

Modeled by Chinese fashion model Sui He on the cover of The EDIT, Gucci’s multifunctional sandals are from the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Available in black and red patent at Neiman Marcus, Net-A-Porter, and Nordstrom, this controversial style can be worn as an ankle boot or the latex sock can be removed and the sandal can be worn alone. Do you think this is the ugliest pair of shoes ever made?
