Kylie Jenner Debuts Highlighter Hair in Too-Short Gold Mini Dress and Beat-Up Black Boots

Kylie Jenner’s look for this year’s Coachella Festival was apparently inspired by… highlighters? The makeup mogul debuted her new neon yellow hair color at the PAPER Magazine x PrettyLittleThing party in Palm Springs on Friday, not forgetting to also share plenty of shots of her fresh look to her hundreds of millions of social media followers.

While Kylie dyeing her hair a shocking hue is something that we’re used to, the rest of her outfit does raise a few questions. For one, was her gold PrettyLittleThing “Charlay” knit dress inspired by Kim Kardashian’s gold Gianni Versace knit dress? Her blunt-cut bob also seems to have been copied from older sister Kim. How did she feel about wearing a dress so short that it kept riding up and exposing her Spanx?

We also have to ask: why is the bottom half of Kylie’s face yellow? Could it be stain from the hair dye or is it (most likely) just the reflection from her sparkly dress?

One thing we are sure of is that Kylie’s shoes — beat-up black leather boots with chunky heels — were a perfect pick for Coachella.

Stiletto heels and sandals seem to be off the menu for Kylie at Coachella this year. While flying in ahead of the festival a few days ago, the lip kit creator posted an Instagram picture showing off the doodled-on and graffitied Vetements x Reebok “Instapump Fury” sneakers she was wearing in a private jet.
