For the longest time, Angelina Jolie‘s wardrobe staples have been basic dresses and pumps in black or white. In fact, Angelina’s outfits have gotten so predictable that we’ve lost hope in seeing another legitimately interesting feature on her.
Fortunately, we recently saw a sliver of hope. While the actress still opted for her staple monochrome outfit, she added one more thing that sent bolts of excitement through our veins: feathers.
The actress stepped out in one of her more experimental looks in a while at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards in Barker Hangar, Los Angeles.

Angelina made our jaws drop when she stepped out in a ’20s-inspired feathered dress by Ralph & Russo. Mind you, the dress is custom made couture, which means Angelina possibly had a hand at designing it. Mind blown.
The actress took her Gatsby-inspired look a step further with bold, red lips and dramatic eyelashes. Angelina kept her jewelry to a minimum with a pair of silver earrings and a ring.

We’re thinking her pair is custom made as well, since the retail version only comes in a dusty rose and light blue shade.
The actress arrived at the 2108 Critics’ Choice Awards with her friend and “First They Killed My Father” co-writer Loung Ong.
The film, which Angelina wrote, directed and produced, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film. However, the award went to “In the Fade.”
