Red really is the color of love. At least we think so, based on Bellamy Young’s outfit last Thursday at the Television Academy’s 70th Anniversary Gala. The “Scandal” star, who recently started dating Ed Weeks of “The Mindy Project,” was gushing about her new beau and their plans to take their first vacation as a couple this summer.
“I feel like we travel a lot and that we’re good at it,” she told People magazine at the gala. “I don’t want to jinx us! Now I just jinxed us or something.”
We could tell she was excited about her upcoming vacation and her new relationship. Bellamy was all smiles and glowing at the gala in her two-piece set from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection of designers Sachin & Babi. The ankle-length skirt featured a large red floral print with large contrasting stripes on the side. The short-sleeved crop top also featured the same print in front with a mesh back.

The actress paired her chic skirt and top set with the Schutz “Caiolea” court shoes in red patent leather. We loved how she combined a high-fashion label with a simpler and more affordable pair of pumps. She accessorized with a metallic Loriblu clutch and Dana Rebecca jewels. Her ensemble completely channeled her television persona as First Lady Mellie Grant.
