Joined by the American fashion designer himself, Anna Kendrick earned herself a solid spot among the top of our Met Gala best-dressed list with the stunning blue Derek Lam net dress she selected for the event.

But, after taking one quick look at the frock, we were instantly reminded of Rose Byrne’s similar dress at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.

The 30-year-old exuded class and sophistication in this deep blue embellished gown from Derek Lam that she wore with Effy jewelry, a pair of Brian Atwood “Tribeca” sandals, and a Rauwolf emerald gem ikat clutch in arctic blue and silver.

2. Rose Byrne in Derek Lam

The 36-year-old had a similar look going on from the same American fashion designer who worked for Michael Kors before launching his own brand in 2003.

Rose selected a deep blue dress that was incredibly similar to Anna’s, but instead featured a high neck and fit and flare silhouette.

She accessorized with Tejen earrings and a pair of gold pumps. Who do you think wore the Derek Lam blue net dress better?
