Caitlyn Jenner wowed on the red carpet at the Glamour 2015 Women Of The Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
She was honored with the “Woman of the Year” award as a tribute to her work in transgender awareness and advocacy.
In a conversation with Glamour, Caitlyn talked about how she is using her newfound fame to bring light to the transgender community.
“I started thinking, maybe this is why God put me on earth,” she said in the interview. “This issue has been swept under the rug for so long. I need to tell this story on the highest level you can possibly do it. Not just for me but for this entire community.”

To the award show, the 66-year-old American television personality and retired athletic champion came dressed in a custom-made long sleeve blue silk dress designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino Couture featuring black lapel detail.
The former Bruce Jenner styled her plunging gown with a pair of black pointy-toe pumps.

Accepting the award from actress Judith Light, Caitlyn told the audience that “when it comes to gender, everyone in this room is on a journey. We are constantly learning and growing as human beings learning about ourselves, but there is a second part of this population when it comes to gender. There is massive confusion deep down inside.”

“So I sat down with each one of my ten children and it was the big secret in the family that no one could talk about because I was getting destroyed in the tabloids every week, walking through the grocery line looking at the headlines and so were my children and it was hurtful. So I sat each of them down and said, this is my story. This is who I am,” she said about opening up to her kids.
