I’ve been exploring many different designers lately. Proenza Schouler is one of my new favorites. While browsing Proenza Schouler at Saks I came across a few pairs that I really wanted to share with my fellow shoe addicts.Each of these heels has a certain aesthetic or feel that would add so much style and chicness to any ensemble.

Chloe Moretz was spotted in these lovely silver glitter and suede d’Orsay sandals at the recent 2011 Hollywood Style Awards. I applaud Chloe for her fashion bravery and the way that she has styled these heels here. I love the look of a sparkly sandal over opaque tights. The yellow baby doll inspired top and fluffy skirt are perfect.

This heel is available for pre-order at Saks. You can get it in blue and fuchsia at Bergdorf Goodman, but I honestly prefer the silver option. I’d pair them with tights just as Chloe did here. 5 Questions to Kristina of Kayture

She’s edgy, she’s chic, she’s got style—meet fashionable Kristina Bazan of Kayture.

This lovely lady of 18 from Switzerland is fast becoming a big name in the fashion blogging scene. The operative word being “fast” considering that she started her fashion blog only in January of this year, yet she already enjoys a huge following of more than 6,000 Facebook fans. On top of that, she snagged Polyvore’s Community Choice Award. Well that isn’t actually a surprise as Kristina, or Kay, exhibits an original sense of style that captivates and inspires. She’s creative in mixing and matching her fashion separates and looks so polished all the time.

It was our pleasure to interview this young and talented fashion blogger, and we’re excited to share with you what she has to say. So get a deeper glimpse of Kristina Bazan of Kayture as she answers our five questions.

1. Please tell me a little about your blog and its focus.

My blog is actually very new. I started blogging this January and got pretty impressed by how fast it grew up. Fashion has always been a big passion for me, and that since I can remember myself. My blog is my lifestyle journal, a diary of my trips, my experiences and how I dress up in each of those occasions. What is great about blogging is the freedom you have to show only (the) things you like, only (the) things that interests you without a need to follow some rules, or fit to a canvas. Therefore the fashion blogger has real personal voice in the fashion industry and that is what is so appealing to me.

2. Please let me know what’s the favorite pair of shoes you own right now?

Without any second of hesitation I would say the pair of glitter and calf hair pumps from the last Miu Miu collection. They are very elegant but at the same time highly original because of the thick heel and the glitter covered pattern.

3. What is the next pair of shoes you are hoping to buy?

I love Alexander Wang’s metalic shoe line and would love to own a silver pair of it but there is also the collection from the designer Charlotte Olympia that is truly beautiful and that would fit perfectly in my shoe drawer!

4. Among the current trends of shoes, which do you love?

Since in Switzerland the weather is already just like in winter, I enjoy wearing low boots. Not only they are easy to pair with any outfit but they also play on both sides : the rock and roll one as much as the casual chic.

5. What types of shoes are you most drawn into?

I love platform heels, the bigger the platform the better.

Camilla Belle: Wooden Wedges for Veuve Clicquot

A 25 year old Camilla Belle was spotted looking a little mature for her age while attending the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event held in LA last week. The actress had on a printed brown sleeveless dress and wore it with a pair of sky high gladiator wedges as she walked the red carpet. The look was not completely ugly, except that it left her appearing a few years older:

Perhaps it was the print, perhaps it was the color, OR it could have been the combination of both; one thing was definitely for sure – the dress did NOT look good on her. Thankfully, the same did NOT apply to the sandals she wore; well, at least we’d like to think so.

If you must know, Camilla’s whole outfit (including those shoes) is from Ralph Lauren. The wooden wedges in particular, are called the Fisseah Sandals – T-straps with double ankle straps and a height of 4.5 inches (platform at 1.5 inches thick). True, we admit that it is a tad ordinary in style, but its classic appeal is actually what makes it quite versatile; just the kind that can work with different outfits.

If you like it, you’re in luck because it is currently on sale at Endless, Nordstrom, and Amazon. We suggest you check Amazon first before heading to the other two stores because it is at its cheapest over there. Of course, sizes are broken so there is no guarantee that you’ll find the perfect one at the lowest possible price. Nonetheless, it is worth the effort. Enjoy shopping!

Actress Charlize Theron was spotted in these beautiful flat ankle wrap sandals from Christian Louboutin. If you’re fortunate enough to live somewhere that you can sport these year round I’d definitely grab a pair. The ‘Hola Chica’ features a bronze leather ankle strap, stud details and the signature red Louboutin sole. I’d pair them with everything from skinny jeans to printed jumpers.

Giuseppe Zanotti’s Barbie-Inspired Shoes

There is something very Barbie-ish about the current collection of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Makes me wonder if the famed Italian shoe designer really was inspired by Barbie for this season!

You’ll first notice it in the shoes’ colors of course — bubblegum pinks, royal purples, stark whites and everything along those lines. It isn’t as evident at first because Giuseppe Zanotti also has a lot of the blacks and browns, but the bright colors will reach out and grab you once they start standing out for you.

When you put all those colors together like I have below, you’ll also start noticing the Barbie inspiration in the shoes’ proportions. How “Barbie” are those super high heels and those impossible heel to toe arches? And the low-cut vamp on that pink pointy toe pump? Only ever seen on Barbie!

The final proof is in the shoes’ details and embellishments such as the candy-colored studs on the strappy sandals and the big pink plastic buckle on the pink and black suede stiletto booties.

Compare these Giuseppe Zanotti shoes to the actual Barbie shoes below and tell me: don’t these new fall Giuseppe Zanotti shoes look like they were inspired by Barbie?
