I’ve almost shown you all of the worthy selections in my ShoeDazzle showroom for February, but I thought I’d share some great spring and summer appropriate wedges before I stop. The ‘Imagine’ would be perfect for formal occasions, or a sexy date night look. The ‘Imagine’ also comes in 4 versatile and fun colors so finding a pair that suits your taste shouldn’t be too hard.

Covered mainly in Missoni’s luxe knitted fabric but with a dallop of braided raffia (painted in blue!), a touch of dotted white ...Read more]]> Speaking of flatforms, here’s a new one that’ll definitely tickle your fancy (though you might not like the price tag) – this multicolored One Band Sandal from Missoni. We’re loving the mix of textures, colors, and patterns on this shoe, aren’t you? Sure, it’s not exactly a flat-form, but it’s pretty close:

Covered mainly in Missoni’s luxe knitted fabric but with a dallop of braided raffia (painted in blue!), a touch of dotted white piping (at raffia), and a dash of plush natural-toned leather, you could say this sandal is a mish-mash of a lot of things. Thankfully however, it looks gorgeous! Even the mix of patterns and colors is perfect:

What do you think so far?

This sandal features a 4 inch wedge heel and a platform thickness of 2.5 inches so it is pretty easy to walk in. Of course, do saunter with care because the thicker the platform on a  high wedge, the harder it usually is to keep your grip on the ground. Ergo, you could easily topple over to the side if someone pushed you hard enough.

If you’re loving this Missoni wedge, simply head over to Shopbop and grab it in your size (available from 5 through 10).  The only problem you might have with it would be its price – a heavy USD795. Of course, if you’re used to spending that much on shoes, then go ahead and enjoy a pair this spring

Well, Jessica Simpson is maintaining its ranking in the shoe game by copying from the top trend maker himself: Christian Louboutin. But then again, if there’s anyone to copy from right now it would be Christian Louboutin and no one else.

Well, Jessica Simpson is maintaining its ranking in the shoe game by copying from the top trend maker himself: Christian Louboutin. But then again, if there’s anyone to copy from right now it would be Christian Louboutin and no one else.

Here’s the original sandal that Jessica Simpson copied from, the ‘Straratata” from the Christian Louboutin collection dating way back Spring 2010:

And here’s the Jessica Simpson knockoff called the ‘Evangel’, which is brand spankin’ newly arrived and currently only available at the Jessica Simpson Collection website:

There may be slight shade differences in the color but you can see that the Jessica Simpson Evangels get the look of the Christian Louboutin Straratatas completely. The heel is also slightly lower at 4 3/4″ (compared to 5 1/2″ on the CLs) and the platform a bit thicker at 1 2/5″ (compared to 1″), but the overall sexy and vibrant feel to the sandal is not sacrificed.

The one thing Jessica Simpson did change is while the originals are completely suede, the knockoffs have a patent leather trim. But that’s not anything to stop us from getting the look of the Christian Louboutins for less, is it? Unless you don’t like wearing blatant knockoffs, then you can go for these other colors of the Evangels instead:

What do you think of Kim’s look here? I like her dress and I like the shoes, but I ...Read more]]> Kim Kardashian was spotted in Miami while on the hunt for a new location for DASH. The reality star was seen wearing a pair of dark brown Pierre Hardy wedge sandals with a simple tan dress and tan clutch. I loved the look that we featured Kim in yesterday, but this ensemble seems to be lacking something. Check out Kim’s neutral look.

What do you think of Kim’s look here? I like her dress and I like the shoes, but I just think that paired together they;re a bit boring and bland. I appreciate a neutral color palette, but I think her look lacks some interest and detail that would have made it better. A bold statement necklace touch of blue or an ornately beaded bag would have been better accessory choices.

I did love the look that we featured Kim in yesterday. Take a peek and see how they compare.

Do you see what I mean? Kim looks amazing in a bit of color. She should play up her attributes as opposed to draping them in bland gathered fabric. Now, let’s get to the most important part, the shoes. I really like the interesting Pierre Hardy heels that Kim chose. She has been wearing some super luxurious yet wearable wedges lately, and this Pierre Hardy pair fits in with the rest of her choices well.

While I couldn’t find them in the deep black/brown color, but I did find them in grey and tan at LuisaViaRoma.

I think this tan and black mixed option would have been a bit more interesting with Kim’s outfit. Nonetheless, she looks great. So, what do you think of Kim’s look above? Is it hot, or a bit boring?

I have a credit ready to use, but it’s hard to decide which pair to snag next. I have tons of high heels so I considered going for a flat this time, but then I spotted ‘Agata’. I love the subtle slope of this studded platform sandal, and it comes in three great color options as well.

I could see these paired with super flared denim, a casual screen printed T, and plenty of arm bangles. They would also look great with a bold printed dress and a motorcycle jacket. I’m considering the cobalt blue option for myself. Which color would you choose?

DSquared2 ‘Faye’ ...Read more]]> While browsing some new sandals at Zappos today I came across three styles from DSquared2 that I thought our followers would find really fun and interesting. I love the super edgy feel and eclectic designs of DSquared2 so I wasn’t shocked when I fell in love with all three of these styles. I could see them worn with everything from cropped boyfriend denim to a chiffon sundress.

The only thing that may hold me back from snagging a pair of these gorgeous heels is the price tag. At more than $500 a pair they would put a serious damper (or completely diminish) my spring and summer shoe budget. Nonetheless, we can still admire and dream. So, what do you think? I think that the nude color of these heels work ...Read more]]> Kim Kardashian was recently spotted at LAX airport in a lovely pair of nude Giuseppe Zanotti wedge sandals. I usually find Kim’s outfits a bit predictable and boring, but I really love this one. Kim pairs her Giuseppe Zanotti’s with a cobalt blue maxi skirt, white tank and long beaded necklaces. She tops the look with a pair of aviator sunglasses and a relaxed denim jacket. Check out her travel look.

I think that the nude color of these heels work perfectly with Kim;s bright blue skirt. I like the high waist of the skirt and her long necklaces add a great bohemian touch. Her long wavy locks and aviators finish the look of with a summery feel. To me this is a perfect go to spring look and ideal for traveling in comfort and style. I can’t think of a pair of heels that would have worked better here.

Now, let’s take a closer look at these wedges and see if you agree.

So, what do you think? I found these metallic detailed cork wedge sandals at Farfetch, Zappos and LuisaViaRoma. However, they’re priced the lowest at FarFetch at $627USD. I love neutral sandals like these because you can pair them with so many different ensembles. I could see these with everything from jeans to a maxi skirt like Kim chose.

That’s why when we saw the Aamina in one of our author’s showrooms, we weren’t surprised. This is the Aamina:

As you can see, it’s a color block beauty that is both made up of a mix of textures (patent and suede) as well as a mix of colors. No doubt, it is stunning and sexy, and with a heel height of 4.5 inches (platform thickness at 1.5 inches), it looks and sounds just perfect. But if you’re also thinking it seems quite familiar, that’s because it’s a copy of the “Vadio” sandal from Jessica Simpson. Below is the Vadio for you:

There are some very slight differences in appearance, but generally both look pretty much alike, save for the fact that the Vadio comes with an all-leather upper. The Vadio retails between USD94 to USD98 at Amazon, but if you want something that will cost you much less…well, simply head over to ShoeDazzle and grab the Aamina.

In fact, some may even think the Aamina is a better version, with its colors more vibrant and happy, and its silhouette more balanced.
