Naomi Campbell Wears Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 Metal Embellished Wedges

Naomi Campbell is featured in the March 2012 issue of “Harper’s Bazaar” wearing some very bold Alexander McQueen (Spring 2012) sculpted metal wedges. These wedges are so daring that the only people I could actually see out in these are celebs like Lady GaGa or Nicki Minaj. Nonetheless, I really appreciate the artistic aspects of these shoes, and the shot of 41 year old(and still ravishing) Naomi in them. How amazing does Naomi look in this image? I really love the strong architectural feel of the shot as well as her heels, but if these babies are priced anything like other McQueen heels I won’t be trying them on any time soon. I searched everywhere but I couldn’t find this exact pair to show you. I did find out that you can get them via special order at 212-645-1797. I did find a similar style that rings in over $5,000. Yep, I said $5,000. Check ‘em out.

Katy Perry was spotted in Las Vegas wearing a very interesting pair of Alexander McQueen wedges. The sandal is called the ‘Armour’, and it definitely makes a statement and suits Katy’s wild sense of style. The ‘Armour’ is from the Fall 2011 collection and is only available at Alexander McQueen. Let’s check out Katy Perry in this bold shoe.

What do you think of Katy’s look here? I really like her with this hair color, but I think she could have found a better dress to pair with these statement making shoes. While she looks amazing in this one, I would have liked to see her in something a bit more fun and interesting. Shall we look at these heels a bit closer?

Pretty exciting, huh? I love the curvy lines of the heel and bracketed metal details. It reminds me of Terminator, but in a really sexy way. I’d like to see them paired with a silver mini-dress, or even something with a bold black and white print.

Nicki Minaj also wore these heels to the 2011 American Music Awards. Nicki’s look was typically over the top, and she paired the ‘Armour’ with a fluffy green gown, and trademark pink hair. Check out Nicki in the ‘Armour’.

Here’s more of the maybe ugly, maybe not ugly, it’s-okay-if-you-miss-them type of shoes.

Just so you don’t accuse us of being biased against Jeffrey Campbell here on YNS, here’s a pair from one of our top favorite shoe designers — Alexander McQueen:

We first saw this horn heel style on Leighton Meester when she attended the 2011 TIFF “The Oranges” premiere. That wooden heel finish on the heel combined with the sutures on the brown flesh-like texture on the leather make this shoe look monstrous!

But for the record, we’re actually loving this Alexander McQueen design — we loved it on Leighton Meester and we’re still loving it now.

Sorry if we’re obsessed with SAKS this week. We can’t help it. They have over 950 shoe styles on sale over there and all of ‘em are super gorgeous! LeAnn Rimes was spotted in these Alexander McQueen peep toe booties at the Trevor Live 2011! event in Hollywood recently. I have been obsessed with these boots since they came out in the Fall 2011 collection. You can get them in select sizes at Farfetch. Naomi Campbell was recently seen in these dominatrix inspired sandals from Alexander McQueen. I love the edgy design and rich details of this heel, and Naomi styles it perfectly. The only thing that would keep me from snagging these babies is their price tag. At $1,435 at Saks and $1,545 at Neiman Marcus I don’t see these in my personal shoe budget any time soon. However, if you can make these awesome sandals your own I say go for it.

Will You Love or Hate These Tweed Filigree Skull Pumps?

That’s a new pair I found while browsing through Zappos today. It is made of what looks like tweed fabric trimmed with black leather and accented with studs. It also features a contoured round toe, a hidden half inch thick platform, a stable squarish (though not block-ish) four inch heel, and a delightfully dark decorative filigree skull on the front. It’s a pretty simple looking pair with just a bit of oomph; somewhat old-fashioned but definitely a classic with a dash of twist. My question is, will you love it or hate it? I intentionally left out the brand who created these shoes so you can decide without bias. So again, will you love these Tweed Filigree Skull Pumps or not?

Just so you know, the pair is from…taddah! Alexander McQueen (Tweed Filigree Skull Pumps). The skull probably gave it away, didn’t it? Now if you want these pumps, you can grab ‘em via Zappos; a pair will cost you a hefty USD1195. Enjoy fashioning it this fall!

Cheryl Cole was spotted in these ultra chic booties from Alexander McQueen. The ‘Tab and Buckle Heel Bootie’ features a suede upper, 5 1/4″ heel and a 1 1/4″ platform. I love the outfit that Cheryl pairs with these boots. I’d wear them with everything from distressed denim and an edgy cropped T to black tights and a body hugging dress. The only thing that might hold me back from snagging these wonderful booties is the price tag. At $1225 these would put a serious damper on my check book. But, a girl can still dream, right?

Finally! Someone wears the amazing Alexander McQueen inward-curved wedges!

I’ve been hoping to see these Alexander McQueens on the red carpet and Elizabeth Olsen makes my wish come true by wearing them to the premiere of her film “Martha Marcy May Marlene” held during the New York Film Festival in NYC last Tuesday:

Only a McQueen piece can give justice to another McQueen piece and Elizabeth Olsen rightfully wore the designer’s work from head to toe for the event. The ruffle-collared, ruffle-skirted halter dress is Alexander McQueen, the skull clasp clutch is Alexander McQueen and of course, so are her crsytal-strapped gold and black peep toe wedges.

These wedges already made me swoon in their product images and they even look more amazing when worn:

Don’t think I would be wearing these at all even if I had the money to pay for them anyway. Or even if someone gave these to me. With a price tag that reads $1,645.00, I think I’d feel much better keeping them protected inside a glass display case!
