Would You Rock These 3 Interesting and Edgy Sandals from DSquared2?

While browsing some new sandals at Zappos today I came across three styles from DSquared2 that I thought our followers would find really fun and interesting. I love the super edgy feel and eclectic designs of DSquared2 so I wasn’t shocked when I fell in love with all three of these styles. I could see them worn with everything from cropped boyfriend denim to a chiffon sundress.

The only thing that may hold me back from snagging a pair of these gorgeous heels is the price tag. At more than $500 a pair they would put a serious damper (or completely diminish) my spring and summer shoe budget. Nonetheless, we can still admire and dream. So, what do you think? While browsing some DSQUARED2 heels at Zappos I came across these sexy stunners. This strappy pump from DSQUARED2 would look really hot with sultry pieces like stretchy denim leggings, pencil skirts, and sheer flowy blouses. These heels are ideal for dressing up simple looks or polishing an outfit.

I’d reserve them for evening or dressier events, but you could wear them to work with tights, a black dress, and a fitted blazer.You could also pair them with distressed skinny denim, an edgy graphic top, long silver earrings and a statement ring. Would You Walk in These Ice Skate – Inspired Shoes from DSQUARED2?

Since we’re all about shoes here, why not cover ice skate inspired shoes? Yes, you heard that right, ice skate – inspired; NOT ice skates. The same brand who brought us those skeleton heels last year have now come up with an even crazier design – meet the DSQUARED2 Pump Milly Abrasivato. It’s a pair that features blade-like details at the bottom. The shoes are pretty normal looking – oxfords with perforated accents, hidden platforms of about 2.5 inches thick, lace-up closures, and heels that run high at 6.5 inches. What is insane is the construction attached to the base – marked blades very similar to the ones used on ice skates, except that you CAN’T skate in these. Instead, you’re supposed to WALK in them:

Hmmm…I wonder how a pair would actually feel. Would it be stable enough? Or will you simply slide away? So, seeing how you’re supposed to actually walk in these heels, do you think you can (walk) for a whole day if a pair was given to you? Or will you opt to pass and leave the wearing to Lady Gaga?

Trend Spotting: The Bow Detailed Back

You know a trend when you see one. For instance, this season bows are so hot they’re not only invading the front of your shoes, but the rear as well. Right now, we’re seeing an influx of boots, pumps, and wedges with bow-detailed backsides. Zappos alone already has a healthy inventory of this new style that we didn’t even have to look anywhere else.

At Your Next Shoes we come across a lot of interesting shoes. Some are amazingly beautiful, others quite ugly, but then there are some that we just can’t make up our minds about.

We’ve been wedge-crazy here on YNS for some time now and celebrities have finally caught up with us.

We’ve seen Hilary Duff take out her Lanvin Puzzle ankle wrap wedge pumps and her Giuseppe Zanotti suede platform wedges and now other female stars are quickly following suit.

Would You Wear the DSQUARED2 Tortoise Heeled T-Strap?

I was browsing through Zappos when these retro-looking platform sandals from DSQUARED2 caught my attention. Isn’t it interesting? The pair has some serious lookin’ heels, if you know what I mean. The product description says “tortoise-like inset at the heel” so I’m guessing it’s probably made of Lucite colored to appear as such.

Personally, I don’t think I can rock this pair. On someone else however, it will probably look fabulous, assuming it is styled properly of course. I think it will take a certain kind of woman with a bold and retro sense of style to appreciate it. It’s a pair that is not for everyone.

In fairness to DSQUARED2, these sandals do display the coming season’s colors. And the top actually doesn’t look that bad, but I have to admit, the bottom is quite odd; definitely not my style.
