This new Yves Saint Laurent loafer pump from the Spring 2012 collection may have its own shield but I feel like the gold metal plate makes it more fragile rather than protect it. Sure, the metal plate makes this pump stand out and ooh, it’s shiny, but I’d be worried sick about scuffing, scratching and worse, denting it the whole time this shoe is on my feet!

When I spotted the ‘Tassup’ platform loafer from Stuart Weitzman at Endless I had to share it. I love the rich red tone of this pump and the thicker heel would make it comfortable for hours of wear. I’d pair the ‘Tassup’ with slim corduroy pants in a deep navy, black or chocolate color. They are so versatile that they’d also look great with textured tights, dresses and skirts.
