The couple met in October 2008 at a meet-and-greet event for the Ottawa Senators, Fisher’s hockey team. They started dating shortly after and got engaged in December 2009.

Underwood and Fisher have two sons together: Isaiah Michael Fisher, born in February 2015, and Jacob Bryan Fisher, born in January 2019.

In an interview, Underwood said that she would like to be a couple of inches taller. She also said that she wears high heels to make herself look taller.
