It’s official! Cher Lloyd, 20, is now Mrs. Monk! The former ‘The X Factor’ contestant married her boyfriend of 2 years, hairdresser Craig Monk, in a secret wedding ceremony on Monday, November 18.
The couple began dating in 2011, and they announced their engagement on January 2012. Although many were surprised since Cher was just 18 at that time, the “Want U Back” singer didn’t let all the negative statements stop her from marrying her longtime beau.
Cher rose to fame when she joined the 7th season of ‘The X Factor’, where she finished in fourth place. She was mentored by Cheryl Cole.
Cher Lloyd announced her marriage on Instagram by sharing a black-and-white wedding photo with the caption “18/11/2013 ❤.” Cher Lloyd can be seen looking gorgeous in a strapless lace gown, with her dapper man in a suit with a single rose attached on the lapel. She also wore a simple necklace and a veil and carried a bouquet of roses. Congrats, Cher!
