When we last featured Elle Fanning back in August, she still had the long golden blond hair that she sported as the pure Princess Aurora in ‘Maleficent’.

A month later, the princessy locks are no more. Elle is now officially a brunette — she not only dyed her hair a brown chestnut color, but also bravely chopped it off to shoulder length! Check out Elle’s new look:

Could this brunette hair be for a new role? Or is Elle just trying to break away from the Princess Aurora mold? Whatever it is, you know what Coco Chanel said about women and haircuts: “a woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.” We’re excited to see what Elle has in store for us.

However, we can’t say the same for the shoes Elle chose to wear at the premiere. She could’ve gone with either sharp pointy-toe pumps or slinky strappy sandals. Her black satin peep-toes were too in-between and didn’t really complement her Oscar de la Renta strapless peplum top and pants in any way.

We have yet to get an ID on Elle Fanning’s black satin sandals, but they look like they’re by Prada or Miu Miu. Can you help us ID these shoes?
