Shailene Woodley was cast as Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and even filmed scenes, but her role was ultimately cut from the film.

The filmmakers felt that there were already too many characters in the movie and wanted to streamline the story. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 already had to introduce two new villains, Electro and Rhino, and they didn’t want to add Mary Jane to the mix.

While Mary Jane Watson was cut from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Shailene Woodley has a brief cameo appearance in the film. She can be seen from behind in a shot inside a café just as Rhino prepares his attack.

As part of the ongoing promotions for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, in April 2014, Emma Stone, along with the rest of the movie’s cast, lit up the Empire State Building in New York City.

She was joined by Matthew Tolmach, Dane Dehaan, Spider-Man, Jamie Foxx, and Avi Arad.

Complementing her outfit, her playful bob with bangs and vintage tortoise-shell sunglasses only deepened our admiration for her style.

The embroidered ankle-strap pumps on her feet made us declare our love for Emma’s look.

They’re the same shoes we spotted on her at ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ photo call in Rome, so you could say this is love at second sight.

Emma Stone’s lovely dress and shoes are from the fantastic Valentino Fall 2014 collection. Other ankle-strap pump styles feature ornate beads, sequins, and pony hair uppers.

The ’70s-inspired dot and diamond patterns on some pumps also appear on booties and knee-high boots. The collection has a romantic retro vibe, which perfectly matches Emma Stone.
