Hot ot Not? The Sequin Adorned ‘Criss Cross’ Sandal from RED Valentino

When we spotted this glitzy sandal from RED Valentino today I wasn’t sure how I felt. I want to love the swirling glitter pattern, but feel like this trend has seen it’s moment. I adore the patent bow and ankle strap, but don’t really see these heels for this season. I would have definitely worn them last winter with black opaque tights and a red peplum dress. You could probably wear them with black cropped pants and a flirty tank for date night. However, it’s not really up to me. What do you think? When we spotted the Christian Louboutin ‘Djaldos Spechio’ colorblock wedge today we kinda fell in love at first sight. This bold two tone wedge features an irregular heel with either hot pink suede and red metallic or turquoise suede and silver leather color options. I’d love to see it with a printed maxi dress or fun high low hem skirt for summer. You could even pair them with chic white jeans for a fun take on a classic.

Ashley Tisdale: Hipster Style in Elizabeth and James

Check out Ashley Tisdaly looking quite chic in hipster-like fashion while the blond cutie was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills early this week. A peter pan collared blush pink blouse plus a pink-trimmed hat were among the items that turned our heads, but it was the infusion of casual cognac platform sandals (and of course, that poppy blue Hermes) into her look that truly made us stare:

What an eclectic mix, noh?

The wedges were an unexpected choice, but we’re glad she wore it instead of the usual flats or jeweled thongs. In fact, you could say it added a bit more spice into the outfit.

For those of you who are curious, on Ashley are the Elizabeth and James Silva Sandals. It’s not exactly what you’d call a sexy pair of shoes, but it has that take-me-anywhere appeal that makes it the go-to choice for casual outfits. It also looks quite comfortable judging from the silhouette, and usually that’s a plus:

The Silva features a woven raffia covered wedge and snake embossed leather trimmings along the slingback strap and platform. While browsing the newest selections at Saks today we came across these fun Prada Pre-Fall 2012 styles that had to be shared! They’re sophisticated yet fun, as well as slightly whimsical and incredibly luxurious. I can definitely see how these heels could take you from late summer to early fall. They each have a slight preppy feel, but also a modern edge. All of them would work with slim printed pants or a pencil skirt and jacket for the office.
